Kislovodsk institute of Humanities and technology was founded in 1992 as a branch of Moscow university of Management and Commerce and was the first higher education institution in the history of Kislovodsk. It should be noted that considerable assistance in the establishment and foundation of the institute was rendered by the Head of the Third General Department of the Ministry of The Electronic Industry, Professor J. Guketlov, rector of Moscow University of Management and Commerce J. Avanesov, Professor V. Kaznacheev, the head of the City of Kislovodsk professor V. Tovkan, heads of city construction and architecture department Mr. V. Nugzarov and A. Belokon, who is the main architect of the campus.
In 1993 the construction of the first building was started. In 1996 institute moved to its own building. According to the project construction of 6 campus buildings is planned. In 2009 the biggest and most sophisticated in the region athletics hall has been constructed. It consists of gymnasium and four small halls. The same year we started construction of a new students housing building in the main campus. All construction is financed from internal institute sources, no government funding is recieved.
The institute does not consist of buildings and equipment. The main achievement of our institute is the faculty, which consists of 80 professors and assistants of professor.
