  Kislovodsk humanities and technical institute - the first private, nonprofit higher education institution in Kislovodsk - was founded on July 20, 1992, by Professor Boris Gochiyaev., with the fundamental aim of creating a center of excellence in higher education and research in the region.

The campus is located on the central avenue of the town and occupies territory of 2, 5 hectares. City of Kislovodsk is a famous in Russia spa-resort of population 129 000 people. It is known with mild climate and mineral springs.
